A meeting will be held on the 2nd of March at the Kalamunda Town Square Hall at 7pm for all Friends of the Festival to join together and discuss plans for this years event, and the other arts projects leading up to the Festival.

"It doesn’t matter whether you have a couple of hours to spare or want to become more heavily involved in the development of the festival. If you have a passion for the arts and enjoy the Zig Zag Festival you are encouraged to come along and become a friend.”

The Zig Zag Festival is an annual community-based celebration organised by local volunteers who work throughout the year to develop a number exciting projects and events that inspire the growth of community arts.  These pre-festival projects and fund raising events all aim towards building a community connected by creativity in the Hills region.

Every year the Festival committee brings together musicians, visual artists, dancers and creative community artisans in all areas of the arts.  Local schools, community groups, local artists, and community service groups including the History Village, Kalamunda SES and Kanyana Wildlife Sanctuary all contribute to the continuing excitement and diversity of this annual event.
