Music Sessions at Zig Zag Community Arts

If you once learnt a musical instrument,
but you haven't played for ages
Or you just haven't played with other people
Then this could be your chance to try.

Dust-off those old musical instruments and bring them along to learn some new session tunes:
World, Celtic, French, Russian, Hungarian,
Klezmer and other European folkdance tunes


Where:
Headingly Road House,
11 Headingly Road, Kalamunda  (next to stirk park)

In the winter we gather around a nice cozy fire
In the summer we throw the windows open to catch the breezes...


When:
Wednesday nights
7.30 to about 9.30pm
starting with school term Wednesday 4 February 2009

Cost:
$5.00 per night (proceeds go towards Zig Zag Festival)
includes tea/coffee and music and practice CD's

  • Sheet music will be available for all tunes taught
  • and teaching will be by the traditional “phrase by phrase” (aural) method
  • Chords will be included for the guitarists / strummed instruments
  • CD recordings of the previous week's session will be available to help you practice
